Network Operations

SOCOM provides Network Operations services, typically in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, to support high availability operations of our clients. This includes operations that require 24/7/365 support. We analyze problems, perform troubleshooting, communicate with site technicians and other NOCs, and track problems from inception through resolution. Our Network Operation services typically utilize a tiered approach so that issues can be escalated as required to the appropriate technician or engineer. Our Network Operations support typically include:

  • Network monitoring
  • Incident response
  • Communications management
  • Reporting

We work with network monitoring tools such as What’s Up Gold, HP Open View and Solarwinds that give complete insight to the status of all network devices to include routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. These network monitoring tools allow us to identify:

  • Connectivity issues
  • Device resource status
  • Bandwidth utilization
  • Device status changes
